Saturday 26th August - I'll d'Yeu

Strong winds forecast so I'll rest here for a couple of nights. It seems to be a popular holiday spot where everyone dresses down, rides around on ancient bicycles and drives old bangers but I can tell they're loaded.
Do you see what I mean?

    While sailing, I had trouble navigating the waters between Russia and Alaska.

    I couldn't get my bearings straight!

    But yes, good progress Brendan. You are about 200 miles from Bilbao more or less, right? (Already in the dreaded Bay of Biscay.)

      Your right Mary. That's only a couple of days, I didn't realise I was so close. I could go straight from here with a good forecast.

    Looks like an interesting place. Irish monks from Bangor (Co. Down) built a monastery there apparently. It also seems to be now, or recently, a bit of an artist's commune (Wikipedia, via Steve)
